Great event in Rocky Ford over the weekend. A mother and son did a dance routine at Meghan and Clay's reception to Boom Boom Pow; one of the funniest things I've seen at a wedding reception.

Happy Cinco De Mayo. The Spanish and Hispanic cultures have much to offer in great foods, drinks, and friendships. You need look no further than this website to understand the influence of hispanic culture on the band name and choice of cocktail.

Gigs-N-Rigs had two wonderful events over the past weekend. The first was assisting a charity event for Safe Passage (Children's Advocacy) in Colorado Springs and the second was a great wedding/reception at Phantom Canyon for Robert & Brittany. The staff at Phantom Canyon is always great to work with and the environment is perfect for a great party. The attendees for the wedding had a wonderful time and the event was a great success. Even on a Sunday night, many attendees had to be run out of the joint so Phantom could begin the process of closing. Great people, great fun, and lasting memories from this one.

Gigs-N-Rigs is beginning to offer more and more AV shows for clients with private parties and corporate events. Call us today if you need a program put together for guests of your event.

Mas Tequila will be back at the City Auditorium on Friday of this week to play a benefit for MDA/ERA. The event was great fun last year and everyone has their fingers crossed for a better one this year. Always good fun for an even better cause!

Mas Tequila has been fortunate to pick up Ken (lead guitars, vocals), Steve (bass and vocals), and Roger (drums, percussion, and vocals) this year. Mas Tequila has retooled for the upcoming Race For the Cure. Roger (drums, percussion, vocals), Steve (bass and vocals), and Scott (guitar and vocals) are looking forward to assisting runners, walkers, strollers, and rockers on the course at our own Red Rocks, Garden of the Gods. Thanks again to the team of volunteers that will be assisting everyone on this important date to race for a cure and raise money for treatments. Gigs-N-Rigs was amazed at the successful ceremony and reception for Jeremy and Amy on 9/5. What a great party and the reception was loaded with fun and dancing. Call us today and name your play! Mas Tequila played its final gig in its current format last night (7-11-09). We enjoyed the show in Elizabeth and had a great original band, "The BTeam", share duties of live music with Mas Tequila. You can reach them at http://www.myspace.com/thebteamonline. Great group of guys and their live performance was fantastic. Mas Tequila will be moving on under the management of Roger Corboy. Roger is currently auditioning for positions in the band and is handling band business. You can reach Roger @ 719-358-3404. Great year so far. Check out Aaron Wurster samples throughout the GNR website. His album, Amidst All the Others, was recently recorded at Gigs-N-Rigs Studios. 8 tracks that favor the music of Jack Johnson, John Mayer, and a hint of Dave Matthews. Proceeds of song/album sales will benefit a foundation set up for his sister as she battles cancer. Well done Aaron and congratulations. After a rough start to the year, as many of you have likely experienced with ecomonic meltdowns and other miscellaneous debris, Gigs-N-Rigs and Mas Tequila are in full force with a relatively blessed schedule. The band just finished up a 60 minute set at Territory Days in Old Colorado City and we're happy to be part of the Friday Night Jams coming up at the Tri-Lakes Arts Center on 6/26/09 www.trilakesarts.org. I believe that we'll participate in Spring Spree as well, but this has not been confirmed or denied as of yet. Much thanks to Jennifer & Ryan, Hillside Community Center, the MDA of Colorado Springs, Douglas Lumber, Dana and Claudio, Cesar Chavez, Matt & Bekah, other couples/individuals that have booked us for 2009. A special thanks to David's Bridal and sponsors of Territory Days 2009 for the great opportunities we've had thus far.
